‘MAFS’ Austin Continues To Avoid Intimacy With Becca
Austin Hurd has continued to avoid intimacy with his wife, Becca Haley, and opened up about his concerns in a recent episode. After showing his true colors, MAFS alums have started to weigh in on whether or not the couple will make it in the long run. Keep reading to see what Austin says he is most concerned about and what Married At First Sight alums have to say about it.
Austin & Becca’s Relationship Is Rocky After Episode 19
Becca and Austin were one of the only couples viewers had hope for in Season 17 of Married At First Sight. Overall, many fans have felt that the love experts got it all wrong this time around and most of the couples have already decided to split up.
However, as time has gone on, MAFS fans have lost hope for the couple. Becca has continued to try and gain Austin’s affection but has had no luck. The couple has not yet consummated their marriage and Becca was upfront about her feelings regarding intimacy in the relationship.

During a discussion with Pastor Cal, Austin said that he was trying to make intimacy a priority. Becca had a different story to tell though. According to her, Austin’s attitude completely changes when the cameras aren’t rolling and she questions whether or not he actually likes her.
The upcoming episode will show Austin moving out of the apartment that he shares with Becca. Apparently, their therapy session made him angry and he feels like Becca is painting him to be a bad person on the show.
“I just feel like it makes me look *****,” Austin says to Becca in a spoiler clip. “Those words matter. That’s what people — millions of people — are gonna see about me.”
A tearful Becca tells her friend that she has just started being 100% honest on camera and that Austin is mad about that. “Him being so concerned about the optics makes me question the reality of our relationship,” she said. “Something had shifted, and I could tell that he was no longer really happy. Austin left the apartment.”
MAFS Alums Weigh In On Austin & Becca’s Marriage
MAFS alums think Becca is right regarding Austin being concerned about the optics. Season 14’s Mark Maher weighed in on the matter.
“I think anyone who [says] I don’t like how the cameras are gonna make me look – guy or girl – at that moment isn’t 100% vested in their partner and that marriage,” Mark stated regarding Austin and Becca’s relationship. He continued by saying that he and his ex-wife Lindsey Georgoulis were always 100% honest with each other, on and off camera. “We owed it to each other to keep it real,” he wrote in an Instagram comment.

Season 11 alum Henry Rodriguez commented with what almost every MAFS viewer is thinking at this point “Damn. Is there hope for anyone at this point?” he wrote.
Only time will tell. Decision Day is fast approaching and MAFS fans will see which couples choose to work on their differences and who will call it quits.
