Married At First Sight Season 17 is in full swing and viewers have gotten to see how each of the couples’ relationships are developing. While some of the MAFS couples don’t ever make it to Decision Day, it is one of the most anticipated events of each season. So, when is the big day for Season 17 couples, and when will it air? Here’s everything you need to know.

MAFS Love Experts Don’t Always Get It Right

Each season MAFS fans watch the love experts pair up several couples based on their personalities and relationship preferences. While many of them appear to be perfect for each other on paper, it doesn’t always work out.

Season 17 saw the return of experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Pastor Cal Roberson, DeVon Franklin, and Dr. Pia Holec. Each of them are experts in their own right. Dr. Pia, for example, is a sex therapist who has been practicing for more than 15 years.

In her profile on Psychology Today, she shares that she enjoys working with individuals and couples as they experience different problems. She specializes in helping people work through “anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, and relationship discord.” Dr. Pia also assists in “the treatment of sexual dysfunctions in a non-judgmental fashion.” On MAFS, she helps identify couples that may be a good match for each other and provides counseling through their time on the show.

The other experts also provide counseling and assist in matching the couples as well. In the 16 complete seasons of MAFS, 64 couples have been paired together. Only 11 of them remain married today. Fans have seen many of the breakups play out on television on Decision Day.

Fans are already guessing that many of the Season 17 couples won’t stay together. Many viewers feel like the experts got it all wrong this time around, but only time will tell.

When Is Decision Day For Season 17?

Decision Day is when each of the couples on Married At First Sight decide whether they are going to stay together or split up. Many fans try to predict which couples will stay together and which will go their separate ways, but it is always interesting to see it play out on the show.

Typically, Decision Day is the finale of each season. The couples, who are paired together by the “love experts,” choose whether they want to work things out or get a divorce. In some cases, they may even decide to pair up with other people from the show.

There is not a Decision Day set in stone yet, but the synopsis for February 28’s episode stated that the big day is “less than a week away.” This means that MAFS fans may be able to expect Decision Day to air on March 6.

Married At First Sight airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
