‘Raising Spirits’ Is Theresa Caputo A Fake Medium?
Theresa Caputo is famous for two things: big hair, and talking to dead people in Long Island Medium. The TLC network canceled her show, but there’s no keeping the medium down, and she landed a show on Lifetime called Raising Spirits. Obviously, that raises the question as to her authenticity. Is she a fake?
Theresa Caputo Upset Some TLC Viewers
After TLC canceled the show, the spirits kept talking to the reality TV star and she landed a special in memory of the victims of 9/11. Many Long Island Medium viewers complained about it, noting that they felt it was disrespectful. Of course, there are many skeptical people, and those who don’t believe in someone talking to the dead, declared it was done in very poor taste.
Theresa Caputo got by during her hiatus from her TV show, and she returns to television with an estimated net worth of $2 million. Some people suggest that she’s probably worth more than that. Either way, the former TLC star did well in her business of communicating messages between this world and the next on Long Island Medium. If, that’s what she’s really doing.

From TLC’s Long Island Medium To Raising Spirits – Is It Fakery?
Distractify reported that in 2012, Inside Edition checked out the TV star’s authenticity. Speaking with Mark Edward, who used to practice as a psychic, he felt that she asked way too many leading questions. So, he concluded fakery existed, at least in the live shows. While she checked out okay on television, she missed the mark frequently on tour.
When Raising Spirits on Lifetime was announced for Theresa Caputo, people on Reddit discussed the likelihood that she is genuine. An OP shared a link to an article:

Fakery Discussion On Raising Spirits Medium
Do people think that Lifetime’s Raising Spirits brings fakery? Interestingly, in the discussion, some people hold hard and fast opinions that Theresa Caputo is fake, but not all of them.
- I don’t know where I stand, but I asked her niece who is close to her and she said that Theresa has been doing this “medium stuff” since she was a child.
- I sat near her on a plane once and when we got grounded and delayed for hours… I was so tempted to ask, “Didn’t you see this coming?”
- I don’t distrust all psychics and mediums…I’ve seen some know things that I just can’t explain…but I don’t trust this chick. At all.
- Ugh, I can’t stand her. She’s a fraud, pure and simple. I don’t know what her methods are but I can watch her and tell she’s doing “cold readings” and is just waiting for someone to listen to her. I think there are real psychics or actually people with just very good intuition, but when you use your “gift” to make money off of people’s grief… total pos.
