Growing up was not easy for the kids of Mama June. She had four daughters and was not exactly certain who belonged to whom. Viewers mainly saw her relationship with Sugar Bear Thompson who was Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson’s father. It did not come out until much later that he had not been so kind to the girls, especially Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird. More so, it was June and the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo producers who helped cover it up. Then, as they got older, Anna Cardwell was estranged from her mother while June became fixated on men. She used them as a crutch for so long, eventually abandoning ship for Geno Doak and a substance addiction.
Pumpkin took in Honey Boo Boo when she was a new mom and a kid herself. Now it seems that the two are super close and Redditors are calling it out. A thread was just started to acknowledge this, with the OP writing:

For a very long time, Pumpkin and Honey Boo Boo have openly taken jabs at Mama June for not being there. Yet, they went to therapy with Dr. Ish and dealt with Anna Cardwell’s cancer as a family. So, that may have been what brought them together. However, this season of Family Crisis will see June possibly stealing her daughter’s college fund which is unforgivable. Did anyone else think it was suspicious how Pumpkin had suddenly forgiven her mom?
