During a recent TikTok Live, Mama June and her daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird discussed media tabloids running entire stories about Josh. Both, however, shrugged it off saying they didn’t care.
Changing the subject, Mama June turned her head and shouted to Alana. She asked how her daddy was doing. She had to repeat herself and ask the question a second time as Alana didn’t understand the question the first time. Once she heard what her mother asked she responded with, “I don’t know.”

WEtv fans suspected it was Mama June (or someone close to her) who started the thread. Turns out, fans don’t place the blame on her for Alana and Sugar Bear’s strained relationship. Fans point out Alana is an adult and Sugar Bear is also an adult. If he wanted to talk to his daughter, all he had to do was reach out.
Furthermore, it is possible Alana Thompson does not want a relationship with her father. Fans point out she could have asked him not to talk to her and he’s simply respecting her wishes.

Okay if you want the answer there’s an interview with Sugar Bear on Elle Bee’s channel, but I’ll tell you here he does reach out to her but she doesn’t respond he tried going to Josh but that went nowhere and apparently that whole him wanting a boy thing was a lie created by June.
