When Anna Cardwell passed away at the age of 29 from stage 4 adrenal carcinoma, she left two daughters. She had Kylee, with her ex-husband, Michael Cardwell, and Kaitlyn, who she had when she was a teen. Kaitlyn’s father had never been around so Michael had always been very proactive. He even continued to pay for her school post-divorce. When Anna died, Kaitlyn ended up in the custody of her grandma, Mama June whereas Kylee went to Michael. Michael is currently fighting June for custody of Kaitlyn, as well especially since Anna was estranged from her mother for many years.
With June’s reality show returning on February 9th, fans are wondering if she will end up having Kaitlyn featured. This would make sense as it would bring in an additional profit as she would be considered a cast member therefore requiring compensation. A Reddit thread was soon started to chat about this with the OP writing this:

Fans who have followed the show are well aware that Mama June took what her kids had earned and blew it on drugs. There even seems to be an issue this season over June blowing Honey Boo Boo’s college fund. One Redditor did point this out:

That is really sad as this format is immensely popular especially when the writer’s strike was going on. The kids will likely be on this season but the details of their finances are unknown.
