General Hospital Star Takes Unexplained Hiatus

Eden McCoy is coming up on a decade of portraying legacy character Josslyn Jacks on General Hospital. She joined the show in 2015. The character is the daughter of Jasper ‘Jax’ Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright.)

The young actress won a Daytime Emmy in December in the Outstanding Younger Performer in a Daytime Drama Series category. Fans were completely shocked when they tuned in to General Hospital the following Monday. A different actress was playing the role of Josslyn Jacks. Courtney Fulk temporarily took over the role while Eden McCoy was on an unannounced hiatus from the show.

The break from the daytime soap opera came a month after her mother died. While many fans assume that was the reason behind Eden McCoy’s sabbatical, the actress hasn’t spoken about her absence.

However, she did share snapshots of a relaxing outing in the great outdoors. The photos posted on her Instagram show Eden McCoy burning sage and relaxing in the mountains.
