It has been a rough year for the cast of GH as they have struggled with loss and battles. Just last week, Maurice Benard shared the tragic news that Tyler Christopher had passed away. He was just fifty and had originated the role of Nikolas Cassadine. Now, coming on the heels of that awful death, Eden McCoy, who plays Josslyn Jacks, shared her mother, Natasha has passed away, as well. She had battled cancer for some time so it was not unfounded but then it actually happened. Now, reality has set in and Eden shared her heartbreak in a beautiful Instagram tribute.

“It feels bizarre and almost performative to make a post so personal on the most impersonal space, but many people who knew my mother and also knew me didn’t know what was going on, and this is the easiest way to let everyone know. They also deserve to mourn and part with her in whatever way they may choose. My mother has fought an intense battle with cancer for the past 2 and a half years and has now left us physically…Mom, I expected a lot more time with you than was given, but that doesn’t make the time we shared together not enough. I’m sad that I cannot come with you, but I have to believe that wherever you’re going will be a magical experience. My one wish is that we will meet again. You carried me with you for 9 months and now I will carry you forever. I see you everywhere.”
Eden McCoy also noted how quickly life can change and this was her biggest fear. However, she does know many feel the same way and many of us feel it will never actually happen. Clearly, there is nothing she would not do for another second with Natasha. Yet, she feels so grateful to not only have had her mom but to have been so amazingly close to her, as well.
Cast Sends Love
Eden McCoy’s co-star, Maurice Benard immediately sent his love to her. Her GH mother, Laura Wright made sure she knew how much she was loved. Additionally, Jon Lindstrom, who had been in the GH family for years, reminded her that everyone loves her so much. Aside from losing Tyler Christopher this year and now Eden’s mom, they also said goodbye to Jackie Zeman who played Bobbie Spencer. She passed earlier this year and that was a devastating blow.
Warmest thoughts go out to Eden, her family, friends, and all who knew and loved Natasha.
