‘1000-Lb Sisters’ Fans Want Amy Halterman To Get Help
1000-Lb Sisters fans are incredibly concerned for Amy Halterman this season.
Onscreen, she’s really struggling to adjust to life as a single mother. Although she has plenty of help and support from her siblings and extended family, Amy still feels defeated and overwhelmed. And the stress is starting to take its toll on her familial relationships.
In teasers for Tuesday’s upcoming episode, viewers already know that Amy and her sisters are about to get into a physical altercation. It’s clear to fans that Amy Halterman seriously needs professional help.
But is she willing to take it?
1000-Lb Sisters fans are worried about Amy Halterman
Tammy Slaton, Amy Halterman, and the rest of their family members have had their share of physical and mental struggles on the show. But right now, Amy is struggling unlike fans have ever seen her before.
They’re really worried and want her to receive help.
“I know it’s not exactly the norm in their community but God I wish so much that the siblings would have been recommending therapy for Amy from the start,” a concerned Redditor wrote online this week.
On the show, Chris Combs said that his sister Amy hasn’t been taking her medication or proper care of herself. And sadly, that also means her sons Glenn and Gage aren’t always receiving adequate care either.
Overall, it seemed like many other 1000-Lb Sisters fans sincerely want Amy Halterman to receive the help she needs. Unfortunately, her background and fixed mindset make it difficult for her to seek proper treatment.
“You can’t force people into therapy. … Her one and only goal was to be a mom,” another user replied.
Others have speculated that TLC is purposefully ignoring Amy’s mental health issues for the sake of ratings.
“No kidding she’s struggling, and no kidding that TLC is just sitting back and filming it. It makes for drama. If TLC gave a sh** about these folks, they would be paying them more than a few hundred to a couple thousand per episode,” another Redditor shared. They went on to point out that family matriarch Darlene didn’t give her children the tools they needed to seek professional help.
The mother of two is processing her feelings through art
Although Amy Halterman hasn’t been very open about working through her mental health issues, she is reportedly working on things. As TV Shows Ace previously shared, the TLC star engages in art therapy to help process her difficult emotions.
Hopefully, Amy will be able to receive the help she needs in time. 1000-Lb Sisters fans just want the best for her and want her to succeed.
