‘Southern Charm’ Shep Continues To Hold Grudge Against Austen
Southern Charm star Shep Rose is continuing to hold a grudge against longtime friend, Austen Kroll. The two came to blows during Season 9. That was when Shep learned Austen had kissed his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Ann Green but lied about it. Despite the two seemingly working through the betrayal, Shep still has an issue with Austen. Southern Charm Shep Continues To Hold Grudge Against Austen
When Season 9 of Southern Charm began, Taylor Ann Green was brokenhearted by the fact Shep Rose had cheated on her. They had been together for two years and he hurt her so badly. Luckily, she had Olivia Flowers as well as Austen Kroll to lean on. Flowers was introduced as Kroll’s girlfriend the previous season so she and Taylor were two single ladies. Then it came out that Taylor and Austen had been having sleepovers and such which led their co-stars to wonder if they had hooked up. They denied anything but then it came out that they had kissed. No one believed it was that minimal and Olivia was devastated.
The betrayal that both Shep and Olivia felt was through the roof. Then, they all went to Jamaica and Olivia overheard Taylor speaking on the phone. Essentially, she tried to downplay the romance between Austen and Olivia which was a big problem. Now, the reunion is airing and Taylor exposed Olivia’s secret that she hooked up with Thomas Ravenel. However, there is more to come, according to People and it is going down between Shep Rose and Austen Kroll.
During the second part of the already intense reunion, Olivia shares details of her and Austen’s relationship:
“We didn’t get together until after cameras left, but there was a full stretch of six, seven, eight months of us together, traveling together. We got very, very close. Like, after last season.”
She felt the need to explain this based on what Taylor had said to justify her kissing Austen. Shep Rose piggybacked Olivia, alleging Austen “found a loophole” to be with both women. He proceeded to say: “It broke my f—ing heart seeing you like, ‘Whatever, hey. And then you laughed about kissing Taylor.” Austen joked he was following Shep’s lead.
Is Shep Mad At Austen?
It is hard to tell if Shep Rose is really mad at Austen Kroll or himself. He admitted in part one of the Southern Charm reunion that he has a drinking issue. However, he won’t quit drinking by any means, just hard liquor. In that sense, he realized that he messed things up with Taylor Ann Green. So, who is Shep really upset with and is just jealous that Taylor used Austen’s shoulder?
