How much did Vanderpump Rules stars Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix blow on their unopened sandwich shop? The idea blossomed in Season 9 and started to come together in Season 10. It seemed like fans would finally get to venture in prior to Season 11 but that is not happening. So, what are they out? Read on for more details.
Katie Maloney & Ariana Madix Blew How Much On Unopened Shop?
It has been a while since Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix first launched Something About Her. At the end of Season 10, they did a sandwich tasting at the actual shop. It was a way to introduce their friends and co-stars to their new spot and get feedback. More so, it started to show a lot of promise. Then, in the wake of ‘Scandoval,’ fans wanted to know how they could support the venture and Ariana. So, they launched merch and raised 200K in a short period of time. This was amazing and they just did a sock collaboration revolving around the store.

Unfortunately, some permit issues and building problems needed to be addressed. As of late, the signs are gone and all that is left is the inside which may need to be pulled up. So, how much have the ladies spent so far on their possibly bust project? According to The Sun, it has been around one million dollars. Both Ariana and Katie said they did not want to be like their now-exes Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz. They spent an insane amount of money opening Schwartz & Sandy’s, which took far too long.
An insider shared that the monthly rent is 8K and they have been paying this since September 2022. A lot of money was spent on design as they had a vision. Jon Hutman, who’s an Emmy winner and worked on Nancy Meyers films, was the chosen one. Katie Maloney had this to say about what they wanted:
“This whole Something About Her [concept], and the vision behind that, was wanting it to be romanticized lunch, à la rom-coms. I want to live in a Nancy Meyers movie. So when we were talking about what this place looks like and feels like, I’m like, ‘Well, who does Nancy Meyers’ movies?'”
More Money Spent
The Vanderpump Rules ladies dropped a pretty penny to the tune of 300K on renovations for their vision but they now need to redo it all. They need to rip up the flooring to bring it up to code. While all of this is happening, Ariana Madix has flourished in other aspects of her life. She appeared on DWTS and made it to the finale and is now prepping for her role as Roxie Hart in Chicago. Katie Maloney just launched a new podcast with alum Dayna Kathan and Season 11 of Pump Rules starts at the end of the month. The shop may not be a priority but one million dollars is a lot.
