Steve Burton Ready To Retire Ahead Of GH Return
When Steve Burton exited Days of Our Lives, fans really wanted him to come back to General Hospital. Unfortunately, he had been let go for not complying with vaccine mandates along with Ingo Rademacher. It was questionable if Burton had a chance at ever being Jason Morgan once again but fans had high hopes. Then, at the end of the 60th anniversary celebration, the big reveal happened.

He will be back and it looks to be exciting, especially since no one thought Jason Morgan was alive. At the same time, his body was never found, which is a pretty common storyline used in soaps to bring someone back. However, is it possible that Steve is already looking to get out of acting before his first episode even airs? It seems that way according to what he told ABC. Apparently, he feels that his time as not just Jason but as an actor is coming to an end.
“I feel like I have another, I don’t know — it’s a feeling right now and I don’t like to go on feelings all the time — another two or three years of acting,” he explained. So, will General Hospital be the place where he hangs his hat?
“I said in my video when I left, ‘If the [COVID vaccine] mandates are dropped, I’d love to return to General Hospital… and finish my career there.’ So, I’m excited. I mean, it’s been a big part of my life. It’s enabled me to do so many things in my life and opened so many other doors for myself and my family. It’s been incredible.”
Back In Action
Fans are more than ready to see Steve Burton back in his iconic role as Jason Morgan on General Hospital. They have been expressing their excitement since he made the big reveal. Therefore, it might not be so easy to walk away again.
