‘General Hospital’ Star Steve Burton Finalizes Divorce, Details
General Hospital and Days Of Our Lives star Steve Burton has finalized his divorce. US Weekly shared the details today and what is known about this split. Keep reading to get the details.
Steve Burton’s Divorce Drama
Steve Burton’s divorce with estranged wife Sheree Burton is finally over. When the news of this divorce came out, Steve actually shared that his wife was pregnant. The crazy thing was it wasn’t his baby and was someone else’s child. It sounds like this was the reason that they called it quits and didn’t try to work out their marriage. The couple had three children together before this news was revealed.
At the time, he said “I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated. She recently announced that she’s expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve.”
Divorce Is Finalized
This divorce actually took about two years to be settled. Lucky for Steve things seemed to work out fine, though. The divorce is uncontested, with Sheree Burton asking the court to terminate forever spousal support to both parties. A lot of times a big star like Steve would have to pay huge spousal support, so it is kind of surprising that he doesn’t have to pay any at all.
The couple was married for 23 years. Their custody and visitation arrangements didn’t change with the divorce. It is great to see how well they seem to be getting along in this manner because of course, that isn’t always the case.

They actually split back in March of 2022, but didn’t file for divorce until July of 22. Now over a year later, Steve Burton is finally legally divorced from his wife. Sheree did give birth to a little girl back in February, but she never said anything about what Steve revealed about the baby not being his. She didn’t stay quiet about the child, though and shared about it on her Instagram. She is also pregnant again now with her 5th baby, but hasn’t shared who the father of this child is just yet.
