‘Shark Tank’: Who Is Guest Shark Candace Nelson?

Candace Nelson is a serial entrepreneur and is coming back to Shark Tank for her second guest appearance on the show. She is a New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestselling author and she also contributes to the Wall Street Journal. Her expertise in writing is helping teach people how to turn their passion into a profitable business.
Nelson’s specialty is in the food industry. She revolutionized the baking industry after leaving a career in finance to start Sprinkles in 2005. This was the world’s first cupcake bakery and Cupcake ATM. There are over 40 locations across the United States. Nelson then followed up with the launch of Pizzana. This is a growing chain of pizzerias leading the “third wave of pizza” in the U.S.
Candace continues to expand her portfolio of investments with CN2 Ventures and lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two sons. Her two books include The Sprinkles Baking Book: 100 Secret Recipes from Candace’s Kitchen and Sweet Success: A Simple Recipe to Turn Your Passion Into Profit.
Fans of reality TV might have also seen her on the Food Network series Cupcake Wars, where she was a judge for over 100 episodes. Nelson also co-created the Hulu show Best in Dough. She is now on Shark Tank looking to add to her investments with a lucky entrepreneur tonight.

The Fishwife Tinned Seafood offers a healthy-choice long-lasting seafood option. Heather’s Choice offers dehydrated food for outdoor enthusiasts. There are also two non-food options. Dingle Dangle Baby offers a distracting mobile rattle for babies and VibeRide offers brakes for skateboards.
