Julianne Hough Goes For A New Look, Cuts Hair Herself
Most celebrities spend quite a bit of time and money on their appearances, particularly their hair. But Dancing With The Stars hostess Julianne Hough decided to give herself a new look.
During a trip to the salon, the 35-year-old asked for the scissors and opted to take matters into her own hands. Keep reading to check out the results!
Julianne Hough decides to try something new at the salon
Not many stylists would freely give a client their scissors. But it seems like Julianne Hough managed to convince her glam team to let her try something out. On Instagram, she uploaded a video of herself in the salon chair trimming her own hair.
“Out with the old energy, and in with the new,” the DWTS hostess captioned her Instagram post. “This was such a funny day – it was raining so hard, but the sun was shining and there was a double rainbow. It made me start to think about the seasons of life, and the decisions we make as we progress.”
“Hair is such an outward expression of what those decisions are…of the internal journeys that we go through,” Julianne continued. “The idea of the rain pouring, which could’ve been a melancholy day, but the sun was shining so bright that it almost felt like a cleansing. (I know, I know, but seriously!) Plus a double rainbow to show a sign of prosperity and all the life that is to come. It just felt like it was the right time to cut off some of the old energy and start fresh.”
She went on to thank her glam team before adding the hashtag, “#donttrythisathome🚫” The new haircut turned out pretty well! Check out the post here:

Fans react to the DWTS star’s big move
Julianne Hough’s Instagram followers overall loved the new look and offered supportive words on Instagram. Despite telling others not to try the move at home, Instagram users immediately said they were ready to give it a go too.
