Reacts to Julianne Hough snagging her job

Soon thereafter, Dancing with the Stars announced that Julianne Hough will replace Tyra Banks for Season 32. The reaction online has been mixed so far. Tyra shared her thoughts on her replacement. She had nothing but praise for the professional dancer.

The former supermodel revealed that DWTS  Season 23 will become “a family affair in the ballroom.” Tyra thinks more people will watch as a result. Julianne’s brother Derek Hough serves as a judge on the panel. While nepotism makes most people raise their eyebrows, Tyra thinks it’s an advantage for the Disney Plus series.

“And she has so much personality and strong opinions backed by expertise,” Tyra Banks told Us Weekly. “She’s a perfect choice! She’s gonna crush it!”

The Victoria’s Secret alum shared what she’ll miss about the show. She admitted that she love the outfits she wore. This was something that DWTS fans roll their eyes at in the live broadcast. Tyra Banks enjoyed putting on a fashion show in the ballroom.

“I loved walking out every week in over-the-top outfits to such a hyped ballroom,” Tyra Banks shared. “Seeing Derek Hough dance in a person was such a treat.”

She will also miss fellow co-host Alfonso Ribeiro and judge Carrie Ann Inaba. Tyra noted “Carrie’s kindness” and “reminiscing with Alfonso about the good ole Fresh Prince days,” are just some of the things she enjoyed doing in the set. She first joined the show in 2020 after the shocking departures of Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews.

Tyra Banks is ready for the boardroom

On March 16, Tyra Banks announced her departure from DWTS. She revealed that she wants to head into the boardroom. The former runway model wants to explore other areas of her career. Tyra has many different projects down the pipeline.

“Remember, she walked away from the runway to pursue hosting and executive producing,” an insider told Us Weekly. “And today, her ice cream business is doing extremely well and she’s excited to focus on being an even stronger entrepreneur and launching new entertainment ventures.”

Tyra Banks hasn’t announced what she’s working on. As mentioned, she loves to try different things. She has already been the host of America’s Next Top Model and America’s Got Talent. It wouldn’t be surprising if she were to host another reality competition in the future.
