Mama June has always been hard to watch in her social media videos. Because of her vision issues, she often leans into the camera. She gets so close to read comments and such that her head bobs back and forth. Furthermore, her face has been flushed and followers have noticed her lips are chapped. In the past, they worried that maybe she was sick. Of course, there have also been comments wondering if she was back on drugs. As many may know, she got into heavy substance abuse several years back when she met Geno Doak.
The two lost everything that June and her family had acquired through their time on television and appearances. Additionally, she lost custody of Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson who went to go live with her sister, Pumpkin. June sobered up to avoid going to jail, left Geno, and has maintained sobriety ever since. However, she has recently caused concern in her latest TikToks, according to TMZ. It has to do with her behavior and how she rants and raves against those who challenge her. Yet, she had a response for them and she is sticking firm to this.
“I don’t do drugs, I don’t smoke cigarettes and I don’t even drink,” Mama June declared. She also shared that she has been sober since Jan 27, 2020. As to why she was not directly looking into the camera when she was on her live, she had a reason for this. Apparently, June was cooking during this time plus she reminded her fans that she is blind in her right eye. Therefore, she could not accurately read the comments when she was looking up at them.

If fans want or need more proof, Mama June claims that she is required by production to take weekly drug tests. She maintains she has passed every test and went on to say: “That doesn’t keep me clean, I keep me clean.” Now, her husband, Justin Stroud also has a tainted past and they had to stay in his home state of Alabama to deal with his legal issues. However, they returned to Georgia when June’s eldest daughter was diagnosed with cancer. She recently passed and the family has caught more hate for their endless stints on social media.
