Mama June Reveals Her Nightmare Amid Anna’s Tragic Death
It seemed to just come out of nowhere. Anna Cardwell was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in early 2023. However, she was taking the necessary steps to heal and had just finished her last radiation treatment. She even celebrated by going on TikTok and chowing down on some fun combinations of pickles. Unfortunately, within a short period of time, the family was taking their last trip, per Anna’s request. Literally, right after, the family started to ask for prayers and Mama June took to social media. She let fans and followers know things were transitioning and when the time came, they would announce it.
The following day, Anna’s sisters and aunt, Doe Doe revealed that she had passed. June went more in-depth but then she explained funeral details which rubbed fans wrong. It was open for a short time to the public but felt more like a circus or birthday party than a memorial. More so, fans did not feel like she was grieving properly. as she was constantly on social media. She clapped back at them and said her piece. Now, June has shared something in her Instagram stories about how she is currently feeling.
In Mama June’s stories, she shared a picture from her vow renewal to husband, Justin Stroud. This was featured in the season finale of Family Crisis. As she is standing there, all done up, Anna Cardwell is delicately putting a necklace on June. It is a candid moment that she will clearly now hold closer than ever before. In the caption, June wrote:

The Toughest Times
This has been immensely hard for Anna Cardwell’s family. Her youngest sister, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson spoke out about how she wished Anna would be there to see her graduate from college. However, she was happy that she saw her complete her first semester. Her husband, Eldridge Toney, whom she wed at the beginning of her cancer journey, is also struggling to live without her. The same goes for her other sisters and Mama June who admits she has been broken over this. Yet, she wants to stay strong for Anna’s two little girls.
