Mama June Breaks Silence On Daughter, Anna Cardwell’s Passing
Mama June Shannon is breaking her silence on her daughter, Anna Cardwell’s passing at the age of 29. She had battled with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma since early this year. Sadly, her body could not fight any longer and she passed away on Saturday, December 9th. Read on to see what June had to say.
Mama June Breaks Silence On Daughter, Anna’s Passing
Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell passed away at the tender age of 29. She was surrounded by family and loved ones when this happened. The one thing that her family has maintained is that she is no longer in pain which is the one positive of this whole situation. So far, her sisters have spoken out as well as her aunt Doe Doe Shannon. Now, her mother, Mama June Shannon is breaking her silence on the passing of her firstborn. She took to Instagram to share a family photo, which many of Anna’s relatives posted.

She explained that Anna passed away Saturday evening at 1112 pm in June’s home. Though June had been living in Alabama with her husband, Justine Stroud, she returned to Georgia to tend to Anna. Moreover, she wanted to be there for Anna’s two small daughters. It was also noted how hard Anna had fought for ten months which is something that Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson even pointed out. More information was said to be coming out and June also took to TikTok to speak personally.

There, she also detailed Anna’s passing. Mama June shared that Anna Cardwell was surrounded by love, including her children and her boyfriend. She said it was peaceful and made sure the fans knew how much she loved them. June shared Anna won the battle because she is no longer suffering and that she actually lived with June for three weeks and one day. There will be something set up for her kids’ future and June will keep everyone updated.
A Long Road
Many know that Mama June and Anna Cardwell did not have an easy time and struggled for many years to come together. Anna actually stayed away from reality television for most of Family Crisis but returned this last season for June’s wedding shower. She claimed she had just had surgery but wanted to be there. Then, along with her sisters, she walked June down the aisle for her vow renewal. The season ended with her revealing she had cancer. It seems things were truly peaceful amongst everyone in her final months and moments.
