The Lifetime Movie Food Fight Was One Take

In Lifetime’s Ladies Of The ’80s: A Divas Christmas, not everything is glamourous. Things will get down and dirty with an old-fashioned food fight! According to a recent USA Today interview with Larry Thompson, the executive producer, they had to film this in one take. That was the rule. “We were only going to shoot that food fight scene one time. That’s it.”

It turns out that there was a very practical reason for this. “We weren’t going to get these ladies redressed and fix their hair to shoot it twice. We didn’t have time. So we rehearsed. ‘You hit so-and-so with that. Just make sure you get it. Because we’re not doing it again.'”

The actresses were game and as seasoned professionals, made it work.
