Jana Kramer Teases S*x Scene In Sarah Drew-Penned Lifetime Movie
It’s A Wonderful Lifetime is getting a bit naughty this holiday season. That is because the network’s upcoming holiday movie, A Cowboy Christmas Romance, is going to include the network’s first intimate scene.
Starring in this movie is One Tree Hill alum Jana Kramer, along with Adam Senn. Moreover, this movie was penned by Grey’s alum Sarah Drew. This is not going to be your typical cozy hot chocolate-drinking, cookie-baking, and Christmas tree-decorating holiday movie. This is a major departure for the network.
Therefore, what do Jana, Sarah, and Lifetime have to say about this new risqué holiday movie?
Jana Kramer Reveals There Is A S*x Scene In Her New Lifetime Christmas Movie
Jana Kramer is starring in a new Lifetime Christmas movie. Therefore, she invited the scriptwriter, popular actress Sarah Drew, to her Whine Down podcast. The movie is entitled A Cowboy Christmas Romance. Jana portrays a real estate agent who is returning to her Arizona small town after a lengthy stay away. She is there because she is a successful real estate agent, and she needs to take a mighty piece of property from a rancher.
As with many of these holiday movies, she meets the gorgeous rancher, played by Adam Senn, and things get complicated. However, not as complicated as with her family. She left 10 years ago, and she still has a lot of baggage to unpack. But not before she gets cozy with the guy.
On the podcast, Jana revealed to her audience what goes down in a very hot scene. “Spoiler alert–he lays me down on some hay, and then we, you know.” But, she is quick to point out, “Obviously, it’s still lifetime, it’s still family. But it was pushing limits there, too….. They didn’t cut anything. I was so happy that they really left it all in there.”
Next, the eight-time Lifetime lead revealed how little Christmas is in this movie, including the word “Christmas.” She warns that there is “no gingerbread bake-off, there’s no festival,” and she mentions that this town doesn’t need saving.
This is a movie about her character’s past and “real family stuff.” And a very intimate scene that pushes Lifetime’s boundaries. Moreover, Jana did these scenes despite her pregnant belly.
Christmas Movie Filmed Exactly As Sarah Drew Wrote It
In addition to the sultry hay scene, Sarah Drew added how she was glad they had filmed a love scene exactly as she wrote it. This one takes place in the kitchen, in a scene reminiscent of the classic James M. Cain book and Lana Turner’s movie The Postman Always Rings Twice.
Sarah shared the details of the scene that was made exactly to her specifications. “It all came out so beautifully but especially the scene in the kitchen. I had written into the stage directions, ‘He pulls her onto the counter, he shoves things off the table.'” The Guiding Emily star made it clear that she was very intentional with all of these details. She didn’t want Lifetime to skip anything in this steamy scene.
Lifetime Releases Statement On A Cowboy Christmas Romance
Lifetime also has something to say about this new movie. Variety shared a statement from the network after the content from the podcast made entertainment headlines.
We think that there’s an audience out there that’s hungry for grown-up romance, and we’re looking forward to adding some smolder to the usual holiday sugar and spice. We love trying new things, and we’re excited about this new ‘first’ for us for a holiday movie.
