Undeniably, it has been a busy week for The Kardashian stars. Early last week, Halloween brought out all the ghouls, goblins, and princesses in the family. And the Kardashian-Jenner clan gained a new member. Notably, the newest episode of The Kardashians dropped on Thursday as well. Then, at the LACMA Art+Film Gala in Los Angeles, California, Kim Kardashian lit up the floor. But critics are calling out Kim for her bizarre clothing choices at this weekend’s gala.
Kim Kardashian’s LACMA Art+Film Gala Look
On Saturday night, The Kardashians star, Kim Kardashian, attended the LACMA Art+Film Gala in Los Angeles, California. Kim stuns in a hot pink, long flowing dress, as she poses for the photographers. Notably, her eye-catching slim figure was pronounced in the outfit with a cinched waist and an open back. Additionally, she wore accessories with the look. She added a diamond necklace with a pair of arm-length black gloves. While walking the red carpet, Kim Kardashian wore her hair back in a tight ponytail. And her makeup was applied perfectly. But some people didn’t seem to appreciate her look.
Kim Kardashian Channels Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend
Undeniably, many pick up on the Marilyn Monroe vibes from Kim Kardashian’s attire. Kim’s hot pink strapless gown is very reminiscent of Monroe’s iconic outfit in the classic Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend from the 1953 film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. However, instead of pairing the dress with black gloves, Marilyn sported long petite pink gloves. Famously, this isn’t Kim’s first time to draw inspiration from the magnificent Marilyn. Unquestionably, heads were turning at the 2022 Met Gala while Kim was showcasing what Monroe wore for JFK’s 45th birthday.

Critics Give Their Thoughts
But Kim Kardashian’s look is getting backlash from many fans. Specifically, they didn’t love the addition of the black gloves. One commenter says, “This would’ve been a better MET look than her attempt at Marilyn [Monroe]” Additionally, someone else comments, “I wish she had earrings.” Continuing, “Not massive ones. Just simple things.” Pointedly, someone remarks, “The gloves are an excellent example of ‘Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.'”
Another says, “This look is boring and unflattering. The same pulled back hair, ill-fitting dress, and the gloves look like they don’t go with the dress. I rate it a 2/5.” And more criticism from someone else, “The gloves makes the outfit look tacky.” Adding to the disapproval, a critic says, “It kind of looks like a Halloween costume with the poor fit and cheap looking fabric.”
