But Pat Sajak offers the Wheel of Fortune contestants in the 2023 Halloween episode an apology when a puzzle leaves all of them scratching their heads. During the Tuesday, Oct. 31 episode, things got extra tricky. While in the Crossword Round a puzzle with the clue “Magical Words” was seen. The contestants figured out two of the three words, “Hocus-Pocus” and “Wish.” However, the unsolved word was a four-letter word with “in” as the center letters. Other stumped contestants Jamie Seaberg and Brandian Bufford still hadn’t solved the puzzle by the time it came back around to Miles Glasscock. Then, hoping for better luck, he guesses “J” which leads to correctly solving the puzzle as “Wish, Jinx, Hocus-Pocus.”
