Olivia Flowers Candidly Shares The Truth Behind Brother’s Sad Addiction

It has been an interesting season for Olivia Flowers. At the beginning of Season 9 of Southern Charm, Olivia began dating Rod. Yet, her ex, Austen Kroll had allegedly been hanging out with her good friend, Taylor Ann Green. Taylor was mourning the end of her two-year romance with Shep Rose and sought solace with Austen. Though they both maintained nothing had happened, that proved to be untrue as Austen shared the two of them had kissed. When Olivia found out, she was livid with Taylor for lying to her face and then the unimaginable happened. Her brother, Conner passed away.

It seemed he had died from Lyme Disease but Olivia shared with People that there was more to the story. Though he had Lyme, he actually died from a Fentanyl overdose. Of course, she has nothing but amazing things to say about her big brother.

“I wish you could have met him, because he was just the most amazing guy. My brother, he was very lively and loved bringing people together; he literally made friends everywhere we’d go. Even when we went on vacation, we’d go down the hotel lobby to get breakfast and he knew everyone by name. He was this 6’5″ beautiful guy who had the biggest heart.”

Unfortunately, Conner struggled with Lyme Disease and it led him to a downward spiral of addiction. Per Olivia Flowers: “There are these holes in the healthcare system, and my brother fell into one.” The worst part was that Conner saw the absolute best doctors in the country. Yet, he was told it was in his head, all of the symptoms he was feeling. Then, Conner had to stop doing the things that he loved because of the disease such as golf.

Addicted To Help

The Southern Charm star then revealed that Conner had to go to rehab as he became addicted to the medications that were helping him feel better. Luckily, Olivia Flowers’ brother was fine with getting help as he was always open to fixing what was broken. He was even asked to film Season 9 with Olivia but declined as he was at an Arizona wellness center. His life was cut far too short but she has the best memories of him and knows that he was, above everything, a fighter.
