Ellen Goltzer shares if she regrets time on The Golden Bachelor
Ellen Goltzer became a fan favorite on The Golden Bachelor. She shared a touching story about her best friend Roberta who was her Bachelor Nation sidekick. They enjoyed watching The Bachelor together. When Roberta became ill she pushed Ellen to apply for the show. After a little more pushing she applied and got on the show to date Gerry Turner.
It seemed like she and Gerry were really hitting it off. So, it came as a surprise to fans and to Ellen when she was eliminated at the last rose ceremony.
Now, E!News is sharing if Ellen has any regrets about her time on the show. After all, she told Gerry she was falling in love with him. Does she regret putting it all out there?
Ellen said, “Well, I’ve always known that I wear my heart on my sleeve. And I like to verbalize my feelings. It was hard to hold it in.”
She went on to say, “I feel that if you don’t give it a chance and tell someone exactly how you’re feeling, then you lose your opportunity. So, it was my chance to convey those feelings to him. And I have no regrets about that at all.”
Did she know she was going home?
Ellen said that even though she told him she was falling in love and they got along great, she didn’t know if she was safe at the last rose ceremony. She shared that going into other rose ceremonies she felt secure and like they shared a bond. However, she didn’t feel that with this last ceremony.
Ellen said, “I could actually feel how he was feeling and I felt secure. This time, I did not. And it was just being intuitive, I guess. But I just didn’t really feel that we had that same bond.”
She thinks that perhaps Gerry was holding back and that’s okay. She still doesn’t regret opening up to him. And, she thinks Roberta is cheering her on from above.
When she was sent home she was devastated and disappointed. However, she has no regrets about any of it. She will continue to be open and honest in the future.
