Netflix’s ‘My Happy Marriage’ Season 2: Renewed Or Cancelled?
After torturous weeks of waiting for new episodes to drop, all 12 episodes of Season 1 of Netflix’s My Happy Marriage are available for streaming. Part of the way through the release of Season 1, there were some rumors swirling that the series had already been renewed for Season 2. Unfortunately, that was just hopeful and wishful fans stirring rumors without anything concrete being confirmed.
Now that Season 1 of My Happy Marriage has concluded, fans have one simple question. Has Netflix renewed the series for Season 2? Or, will the series be canceled? While anime fans who enjoy romance series agree My Happy Marriage was adorable, Season 1 concluded with a lot left to be desired from the development of Lord Kiyoka Kudo and Miyo’s relationship.
Netflix’s My Happy Marriage Season 2: Renewed Or Cancelled?
According to Digital Spy, the official Twitter account of the series confirmed exactly a month ago that My Happy Marriage did receive a greenlight for Season 2. Furthermore, Miyo’s voice actor Reina Ueda and Kiyoka’s voice actor Kaito Ishikawa took to YouTube to celebrate the exciting news.

Unfortunately, production has not begun just yet. So, there is no information on when Netflix subscribers could expect Season 2 of My Happy Marriage to drop. Fortunately, however, the manga is four volumes long. And, the novel is eight volumes long. So, there is definitely plenty of story left to be adapted to an anime.
What To Expect From The New Season?
As Season 1 wrapped up, Miyo went from being powerless to having a phenomenal and somewhat terrifying supernatural ability. Sadly, however, Season 1 ended with those powers only beginning to scratch the surface. So, fans are hopeful that Season 2 of My Happy Marriage will dive a bit deeper into Miyo’s powers.
Naturally, the series will likely pick up right after the finale of Season 1. Are all of the Grotesqueries gone? Did the other people who were in an unconscious state like Lord Kiyoka Kudo wake up?
Unsurprisingly, fans also both want and need to see some development in Miyo and Kiyoka’s relationship. Namely, fans would like to see the engagement develop into an official marriage.
Furthermore, while fans don’t care for Miyo’s sister, they aren’t opposed to seeing what has happened to her and if she’s grown at all as a person.
Have you had a chance to check out Season 1 of My Happy Marriage on Netflix yet? Are you thrilled to learn the series has been picked up for Season 2? What do you want to see happen in Season 2?
