‘My Happy Marriage’ Adaption Snags Early Netflix Release Date
Good news for anyone who enjoys a good anime of the romance genre as the My Happy Marriage adaption is headed straight for the Netflix streaming library. The news for fans of the 2018 manga just got a bit sweeter as the adaption snagged an earlier Netflix release. My Happy Marriage: An Original Netflix Anime Adaption
My Happy Marriage is the name of the newest Netflix Original anime adaption based on the novel titled Hepburn: Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon written by Akumi Agitogi that was later adapted into a manga series in 2018.
Per My Anime List, the series tells the story of a child named Miyo Saimori who is born into an arranged marriage that lacks any love. After Miyo’s mother passes away, her father brings his lover as well as his lover’s daughter into the picture. Miyo Saimori’s life takes a tragic turn essentially becoming the servant of her father and his new family.
After years of keeping her head down and following her father’s every command, she is arranged to be married to a man named Kiyoka Kudou. Rumor had it her future husband was a cruel man that had driven off every single potential wife thus far. Given her tragic upbringing, Miyo Saimori accepts her fate with a potentially cruel husband and loveless marriage. She, however, comes to the shocking realization that her new husband isn’t a cruel man.

The Anime Romance Adaption Snags Early Release Date
According to What’s On Netflix, the series was originally slated for release on October 1st, 2023. The timeline, however, has been moved up. The series now has a release date of July 5th. The Netflix fansite, however, believes the streaming giant is planning to release new episodes on a weekly basis.
Fortunately for fans of anime, the wild success of Vinland Saga Season 2 means good things. What’s On Netflix suspects the streaming giant will continue to pick up more anime content. Moreover, it is suspected Netflix will continue to explore shopping around for popular manga to adapt to Netflix Originals to continue to make their streaming service appealing to anime fans.
Unfortunately for fans who are not into Eng Dub, it does not appear as if an Eng Sub version is going to be available just yet as the trailer is in Japanese with English subtitles.
