The spring 2023 anime season has a lot of exciting stuff for anime fans to enjoy. Recently, the anime community on Reddit put together a convenient chart showing off the content for this season. There isn’t too much new stuff getting premiere seasons this time around. However, several fan-favorite shows are beginning their new seasons soon. Let’s talk about some of the biggest new seasons of anime coming this spring to Crunchyroll and beyond.
Spring 2023
Undeniably the biggest show launching its new season this spring is Demon Slayer. The dark action anime is coming off of a successful second film earlier this year into its long-awaited third season. The trailers for Season 3 show off the Swordsmith Village Arc the show is moving into and promise more amazing, gory fight scenes to come.
Tokyo Mew Mew is another major show that will be getting its second season this spring. The revival of the anime that originally ran two seasons back in the early 00s came back for a successful new season in 2022. This time around will be the first time that Tokyo Mew Mew gets an official English dub for its second season. Last time, the English dub of the first season was a major flop, resulting in 4Kids not giving the second season any attention.
Season 3 of Dr. Stone, with the title Dr. Stone: New World, is another major anime arriving this April. Like Demon Slayer, this anime is also coming hot off a successful film, Dr. Stone: Ryusui. Fans are extremely excited about this cult-hit anime as it dives into its most exciting arc yet and possibly unveils the mystery of who turned the whole world to stone.
Other major titles getting new seasons this spring include The Ancient Magus, EDENS ZERO, and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury.
Lots Of Anime Incoming
2023 promises a lot of amazing anime on top of what’s coming this spring. The final episode of Attack On Titan should be arriving sometime later this year. There’s also a Spy x Family movie coming alongside its second season. Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen is also getting a rare summer premiere date, arriving this July. So it’s going to be a major year for anime fans overall. Many of the biggest anime in the world right now is getting new content all jam-packed into a single year. The spring season is just the start.
