On the heels of CBS airing the Yellowstone Season 1 finale on Sunday, October 22, the network will be airing more. Despite the SAG-AFTRA strike, CBS’s solution of airing the Paramount series on the linear network has paid off. The network is going to bring more of the Taylor Sheridan-created series.

Yellowstone Season 2 Is Coming To CBS

This fall, CBS decided to air Yellowstone Season 1 to fill in some of of their scheduling due to the now-resolved writer’s strike, and the ongoing actor’s strike. The first season is ending on Sunday, October 22. Will there be more?

On Friday, Deadline reported that CBS is going to air Season 2, without skipping a week. That means the Dutton family saga continues on Sunday, October 29. The time slot is identical. It will air right after 60 Minutes. However, these shows can be delayed if the NFL game runs long.

This television series is about the Dutton family. They own the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. They have to face a changing world, as well as modern enemies who want to take their land away from them.

This series includes tests, “unsolved murders,” and allies who are willing to stab you in the back for the right amount of cash or power. This series is addictive with lots of surprise twists, and unexpected revelations.

Moreover, the star of the series, Kevin Costner, brings an award-winning performance as the patriarch of this special Western series.

There is no doubt that Yellowstone has been a tremendous success for CBS. Nearly 21.6 million viewers have tuned into the series that stars Kevin Costner, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Luke Grimes, and Wes Bentley.

Although this series drew over 11 million viewers last year when Season 5 premiered, this show now has nearly that many new viewers who watched on CBS. Moreover, this series has been the number one Sunday night “primetime entertainment program.” Nielsen reports that it averages 5.49 million viewers per episode.
