Jill Duggar Describes Shocking Details Of Jim Bob’s Scary Temper

Jill and Derick Dillard have been on the outs with her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar for years, and in her book, she described a scary clash with her dad. In fact, it seemed that he allegedly nearly became physically violent with her. Counting The Cost drops this week and in the tell-all memoir, Derick’s wife isn’t holding back.

Jill & Derick Experienced A Nasty Situation With Jim Bob Duggar?

Leaks from the new book revealed that Derick’s wife struggled in her marriage. They felt frustrated because her dad always wanted them to do things his way. Especially, with filming for Counting On, the now-canceled TLC show. Eventually, they left because it interfered with their own private decisions. Additionally, Derick alleged they weren’t paid for appearing on the show.

Jill Duggar Dillard became estranged from her father and a lot of it seemed related to the fact that she spoke out during the Amazon docuseries, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. However, bad feelings existed way before that. Allegedly, he objected to her breaking his rules for girls despite the fact that she was a married woman. In fact, it seemed that Jim Bob cared more about her nose ring than he did about Josh’s possession of CSAM content. In Counting The Cost, she talked about a nasty situation with her dad.

Jill Duggar Dillard Recalls A Scary Confrontation

Ahead of the book launch, @MuiRebekah shared an extract from the book on Twitter, (Now known as X.) In the excerpt, it revealed that Jill and her husband saw her parents in an effort to reconcile. However, it turned nasty. She described how they accused her of “verbal abuse” because of a text she’d sent Jim Bob. Fuming, he got up, and his daughter described it as “an act of aggression.”  She wrote how he stood “towering  over me, his whole body fueled with anger.”

When it made her cry, she desperately squeezed Derick’s hand hoping he’d keep quiet. However, after her father told her she cried because of her “bad conscience,” she gave it right back. Talking about Josh Duggar, she told him, “You treat me worse than you treat my pedophile brother.” She also cried because he disapproved of her “pants and nose ring.”

Jill Dillard also accused him of treating her like “a prodigal” when he had an eye for other girls outside of the clan who wore the same attire as she did.

Counting The Cost Might Fly Off The Shelves

Jill Dillard might make a lot of money from the sale of her book. Already, social media buzzes with the leaks that came ahead of the launch. Actually, many people wondered if the Counting On patriarch might have been physically abusive. No doubt, much more will be revealed and TLC fans will be happy that in Derick, the mom of three boys has found a rock to stand by her.
