Arie Luyendyk is speaking out and revealing that they actually check their daughter Alessi out of school early almost every single day. There isn’t anything wrong with her, though. This is just a decision that they make on their own.

Arie Luyenydk Talks Alessi Going To School

Alessi just started pre-k this year. She doesn’t even go every day but only goes three days a week. Lauren talked to US Weekly about this transition for them. Lauren says that her going to school has been a hard transition for Alessi. Arie says it is actually harder on Lauren than their daughter, though.

Why Do They Check Her Out Early?

Arie Luyendyk explained that Lauren checks her out early all the time. It isn’t because she is sick or is having meltdowns at school, though. Instead, Lauren feels like Alessi would have more fun at home than at school. She only goes three full days a week, but they don’t leave her there the entire time. Arie said that Lauren pulls her out early every day. He then went on to say, “She’s probably having fun. [Lauren’s] like, ‘No, she’d have more fun over here.'”

Lauren admits that she does want to pick her up. She said, “She’s like, ‘I just got in the pool, Mom — did you have to pick me up now?’ But I don’t know, it’s hard! Like, maybe, he’s right. I did go in [to] the principal’s office and started crying yesterday. … I don’t think I’m ready yet for her to go to school.”

They do admit that they don’t feel like she should be in school for long hours since she isn’t in kindergarten yet. That won’t happen until next year. IT will be a lot harder for Lauren to check her out every single day once she is in kindergarten and past that.

Lauren and Arie Luyendyk even recently took a month-long vacation with their kids. They have three children and they took a babysitter along so it wasn’t so hard on them. So many things were picked up along the way that they had to ship things home during the trip.

  1. Maybe do two days instead of three, or if allowed a half day. It could be disruptive for the classroom and the teacher.
