‘Big Brother’ Fans Furious, Matt Mistreated Once Again
It was another hectic night in the Big Brother house as live evictions took place. However, fans are angry now because once again, houseguest Matt is at a disadvantage in a competition. Keep reading for all the details and to find out just why Big Brother fans are so upset.
Big Brother discriminates against Matt?
Tonight is an exciting night for most Big Brother fans. After years, the network has finally brought back a fan-favorite game, Pressure Cooker. In this game, which lasted 14 hours the last time it was played, all the houseguests stand in a small room together and they each have their own button.
The game is simple, keep your button pressed the longest. However, it’s important to note that no sitting is allowed and neither are bathroom breaks. While houseguests can squat if needed, they will spend most of the night standing, holding their button. Of course, in the past, this game has ended in game-altering negotiations until only one houseguest is left standing and becomes the new Head of Household.
This season though, Big Brother decided to switch things up. Going along with the Scaryverse theme, they shut off all the lights in the room. This makes the competition much more unsettling and might make it a bit shorter than 14 hours. However, fans were quick to notice that once again Matt is at a disadvantage.
Matt, who is deaf, has already played in several competitions that were unfair to him. This includes a completely audio-based competition just last week. Now, because they turned off the lights in the competition, Matt is once again at a major disadvantage. As noted above, this comp will likely end in major negotiations. Of course, one houseguest will promise another safety if they just let go of their button.
However, seeing as Matt can’t hear and now can’t see to read lips, he will not be able to participate in this conversation. He will also spend potentially the next 14 hours basically alone as he stands in a dark room with no sounds.
Fans are not happy
Needless to say, fans are more than angry that once again, no one on the production team thought to accommodate Matt. In fact, they seem to be making it even harder on him. Fans are sounding off with just how angry they are on Twitter.
oh man i am furious. MATT CANT SEE OR HEAR COME ON BIG BROTHER #BB25,” one person writes.
Others suggest giving him any type of assistance so he can at least be on a level playing field with the other houseguests.
“i swear to f*cking god if they turn on feeds and matt isn’t wearing night vision goggles or something, i will freak out. how the f*ck are you going to make it so he is down 2/5 senses. how terrifying must it be to not see or hear ANYTHING in that room. i’m so mad. #bb25,” someone else says.
