‘My Strange Addiction’ Man Gorges On 4 Lbs Of Raw Meat Weekly

Weston Rowe

In the latest episode of My Strange Addiction: Still Addicted airing Wednesday, 40-year-old Nebraska man Weston Rowe describes his four-year addiction to eating raw meat. But what drove him to switch to such an unusual—and possibly dangerous—diet?

Rowe Has Eaten Over 100 Chicken Breasts in the Past Four Years

“In one day, I’ve eaten up to three to four pounds of meat,” says Rowe.

“The real game changer is when people find out that I’m eating raw chicken,” he explains as he examines a raw chicken breast. He goes into detail on the quality of the meat, “This here just looks like a very healthy animal. Smells clean and pure. Almost no scents coming off of it. I mean, that’s just a sign of a very healthy piece of meat there.”

Rowe has become quite familiar with finding the best quality raw chicken, as he’s eaten plenty in the four years he’s been on his raw meat diet. “In four years, I’ve eaten about a hundred raw chickens, and I’ve never been sick once.”

A Strange Illness Leads to an Even Stranger Remedy

Six to seven years prior, Rowe suffered from an unknown illness, with symptoms ranging from rashes and lethargy to headaches so bad that he almost believed them to be an aneurysm.

“Weston was suffering from a lot of physical ailments,” says Rowe’s mother Lori, “Just, even not being able to think real clearly, lethargic. He just was not healthy.”

Rowe describes rashes, mood swings, and other mental and physical health issues that caused his life to screech to a halt. Eventually, he became so ill that he suffered a major seizure where he collapsed, shattering his jaw in three places and cracking twelve of his teeth.

With no diagnosis and no end to the pain in sight, Rowe took to finding a remedy online himself. That’s where he came across a diet of eating raw meat, which he credits with curing his mysterious ailment.

“I realized that I had to do something on my own to get through this. And the first place I looked was through nutrition.

“I heard this diet about eating raw meat. It was the fastest way to heal your body…and so, I just went ahead and rolled with it.”

The Health Hazards of Eating Meat

Miraculously, Rowe has spent the past four years eating meat without suffering any adverse side effects.

He has taken to consuming as much as three to four pounds of raw meat in a single day. He spends over $175 a week on raw meat, and he claims it was the remedy to his mysterious ailment.

While Rowe has suffered no symptoms from his unusual diet, experts warn that consuming raw meat can lead to Salmonella poisoning, a deadly bacteria that can cause fever, nausea, vomiting, and chills.

Despite having never met any fellow meat eaters, however, Rowe remains determined to stick to his strange diet and credits it for his improved health.
