A week before the wedding, Daniele admitted in her confessional that she and Yohan had been planning her move to his country. However, as the marriage date came closer, Yohan became adamant about relocating to New York. This made Daniele suspicious that he might be scamming her to get a green card.

In the beginning, she believed that he truly loved her. However, she started to wonder if it was love or just him seeking an opportunity to move to the United States. Yohan did reveal that he wanted to work in the country and send money to his family.
