Why Isn’t A New Episode Of Mama June: Family Crisis On Tonight?
Last week on Mama June: Family Crisis, Honey Boo Boo found out that she had been accepted to her top choice college. Unfortunately for Pumpkin and June, it is in Colorado. They were excited but also scared to lose their little girl but this showed how well Josh and Pumpkin raised HBB. Then, the family gathered in Florida for June’s vow renewal to Justin Stroud. She initially wed her beau in March 2022 secretly at the courthouse. No one knew until her daughters received the receipt in the mail. They did not even want to be a part of the wedding festivities. Yet, after a weekend retreat with Dr. Ish and June fulfilling her motherly obligations, they all agreed to head down and walk her down the aisle.
Everyone was there, including June’s eldest daughter, Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell who she had been previously estranged from. They had reconciled and Anna appeared in one episode at the earlier part of the season. It was actually a really beautiful ceremony and the girls could see how great Justin was for Mama June. They danced and fed everyone a plethora of food. June made it clear that no one should go home hungry at all.
After the wedding, everyone went back home but two weeks later, Pumpkin got a call from Anna who had Mama June on the line. She had learned she had stage 4 cancer and needed to tell her sisters. They were shocked and did not know how to react. This was how the episode ended. It felt like there was so much more to unpack but sadly, this was the season finale. Luckily, Pumpkin did share that the new season is currently filming but no air date is set.
What Is Taking Its Place?
So, what will fill the Mama June void? Returning will be Love During Lockup which is what happens before the inmates are released. Essentially, it follows the prisoners and the outsiders falling in love and preparing for when they can finally live in the real world. Yet, so many secrets and truths are revealed so it is next-level exciting. Some go on to Love After Lockup so if you are into that show, this will be perfect.
