She and her husband, Josh have been raising Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson since 2019. Yet, it was not until 2022 that a formal custody agreement was put into place. Then, Mama June had to pay Pumpkin $800/month which was not a month for all of Alana’s expenses, especially as a teenager. In the latest season of Family Crisis, viewers saw Josh’s credit card get declined at the gas station so he had to call his wife.
When they did not have anything in their home, it was June who told Pumpkin to get on TikTok and make some money. She took that to heart and has been hustling late at night. Fans have grown concerned with how she looks, her eyes, and her neglecting her kids. Yet, has Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird taken on a new job working in insurance? A Reddit thread was started to clear this whole thing up. The OP started with this: “Pumpkin just mentioned having to go to work at Geico tomorrow.”
They noted that maybe she got a job with benefits which would explain her late-night hustle. However, fellow Redditors soon chimed in with the answer. “She doesn’t work at Geico or anywhere else! She said it’s a joke,” someone responded. Apparently, this started a few weeks back and has carried on. Other fans commented that it was not even a good joke to make. Of course, the next conversation turned to whether or not she could even get a job there due to drugs.

Fans have been questioning if Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird is on anything based on several of her live videos. Her eyes are either bulging or glazed over and that has caused concern. During the Reddit chatter over her working at an insurance company, it was brought up if they drug tested. Some said absolutely not while others said they did.
