Nearly the entire cast of 1000-Lb. Sisters seemingly packed up and jetted off to Florida for a little family vacation and fans of the TLC series can’t help but wonder how they paid for what was surely a pricey trip. Photos making rounds on social media reveal Chris Combs, his wife, Tammy, Amy, Amanda, Glen, and Gage were all on this getaway. Fans suspect Misty and a few other relatives likely tagged along. Fans, however, are also pretty sure Michael and Caleb were NOT included in this Florida getaway.
Transporting anywhere from eight to ten people to Florida, finding a place for them to stay, feeding them, and doing exciting things ends up being a pretty hefty bill. Moreover, fans really aren’t sure how long the family stayed in Florida or what they did while they were there.
Now, Amanda Halterman has opened up on TikTok about being a pretty frugal individual. She’s not a woman who likes to live beyond her means. And, she claims she’s never let the reality TV spotlight or money go to her head. Knowing what fans know about the TLC network, they suspect this Florida trip didn’t really cost the family much of anything.
Did TLC fund the 1000-Lb. Sisters Florida excursion?
As fans of the TLC network that watch other shows know, the network tends to fund family vacations in exchange for getting to film them. The Busbys from OutDaughtered have openly admitted they prefer getting out and doing as much as possible to make filming more exciting. But, fans know this is also because TLC foots at least some of the bill.
Now, Tammy Slaton and Amy Halterman’s family also have a history of going on some sort of family vacation in nearly every season of the show. In the past, Tammy Slaton wasn’t as excited about the trips because her anxiety attached to her weight held her back from having a good time.
Photos of the family’s Florida trip, however, show Tammy Slaton very much with her family and seemingly having a good time while enjoying this trip. So, fans could see a very different kind of family vacation in the upcoming season of 1000-Lb. Sisters.
Michael Halterman and Caleb Willingham appearing to not be on this vacation also tells fans they will likely get a front-row seat to both of these relationships coming to an end prior to the vacation they are currently filming as part of the new season.
