Megan Danielle was part of a major controversy on American Idol this past season and she just made a comment that has fans worried about her. With several fans accusing the show of rigging the winner, Danielle was caught in the middle and now it seems that she might be calling out for some help.

Here is what Megan said and why fans are worried about the young singer.

Megan Danielle speaks about being scared and needing help

Megan Danielle was the runner-up in the last season of American Idol. However, many fans felt she should have won. This is nothing new. Fans always feel their favorites should win. When someone else wins, many fans call the show “rigged.” That happened this season when Iam Tongi won the show. Many fans didn’t want another country music singer, but then many also hated it when Iam won in the end.

With that said, there were also a lot of people who felt Iam should have won. If Megan or third-place finisher Colin Stough had won, other fans would have also screamed that American Idol was “rigged.” With that said, this is something that often takes a toll on the singers involved. If someone wins, the fans of other singers will often target them on social media. In other cases, the singers who fall short will also hear the calls online from their supporters, while disrespecting the person who beat them.

There are some fans who feel this is taking its toll on Megan. The singer took to her Instagram Stories (via The Sun) and posted a quote from a Christian author to the page. The quote read, “Sometimes the most honest prayers we can pray are the ones that sound like, ‘This is hard. I’m scared. Please help.'”

This had many people worried about the young singer. She highlighted the words “honest,” “hard,” “scared,” and “Please Help.” With that in mind, many people believed that Megan was calling out for help. However, at the same time, this was a quote by a Christian author, and it might just be Megan being a bit honest and sharing her beliefs with her fans, revealing it is okay to pray to God when you know you need some help in life.

What happened to Megan last season on American Idol?

The final three on American Idol this past season were Megan Danielle, Colion Stough, and Iam Tongi. Colin was a country singer, which is a genre that always makes it to the finals thanks to the wide fanbase that watches these reality singing competitions on TV. Iam was a little different, a Pacific Islander who ended up being the first non-country singer to win American Idol in three years.

However, while vocal people on social media didn’t really want to see Colin win because it would have been too similar to last season, it seems they didn’t want Iam to win either. This left it up to Megan, who fell short by a bit in the final voting. For Megan, she took it in stride. She said, “Even if I was first, second, last, whatever … I feel like any of us really deserved it. I feel like Iam was deserving and he’s so humble and so talented.”

Even when Megan lost in the finals, that does not mean her journey has ended. She is only 18 and she will have American Idol fans backing her as she starts her musical career in the next few years.

Do you think Megan Danielle really is asking for help, or was she just sharing a quote based on her religious beliefs? Do you think she deserved to win American Idol this past season? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
