‘1000-Lb. Sisters‘ Filming Underway, Not In Kentucky
It seems as though 1000-Lb. Sisters Season 5 will take place in a brand new location; at least in part, anyway.
A few fans spotted Tammy Slaton, Amy Halterman, and several other members of the family in a group setting. Camera crews accompanied the family, leading many to believe they were filming episodes for Season 5.
The family has attempted traveling together before and things didn’t exactly go according to plan. Will things be any different in Season 5? And where did the family end up anyway?

The 1000-Lb. Sisters cast and crew hits the road for Season 5
TLC hasn’t said much about the future of 1000-Lb. Sisters. But the show still has an incredibly active fanbase and viewers want to know more about the family in 2023.
Recent evidence indicates that TLC is indeed filming 1000-Lb. Sisters Season 5. But the family definitely isn’t in Kentucky any longer.
At least part of the season will take place in sunny Florida, as evidenced online. The family members shared several cute vacation photos this week. Meanwhile, locals shared evidence of film crews on the beaches.
“Not gonna lie, at first I got really excited bc I thought it was Mama June, Pumpkin, and Honey Boo Boo,” TikToker mamatgar50 captioned their video. “It wasn’t but, the girl from the show looks great! This clearly never happens in my area. 1000 lb sisters filming drew quite the crowd!”
In the video, mamatgar50 captures a stunning beach scene before a member of the production team asks her to stop recording.
Shortly after the crew member leaves, mamatgar50 resumes filming and captures Amy coming out of the water in a black bikini.
“If they didn’t want people filming they would have been better off renting a house with a private beach,” another TikTok user pointed out in the comments. Many others agreed with the sentiments. The TLC film crew clearly drew a huge crowd of onlookers. It was just a matter of time before someone started recording.

The family gives fans a sneak peek through their vacation photos
The family’s online followers knew that they were taking a Florida vacation. Tammy shared a beautiful photo of herself on the beach with a plunging neckline. Chris and Brittany Combs also shared their own sweet photos. But many fans were surprised to learn about the film crews that went with them.
Without a doubt, this is already shaping up to be an exciting season. But for now, fans will have to stay tuned until new details come to the surface.
