This week, Hilary has popped up on social media again and is interacting with fans. As we reported, she seemingly accused Jill Dillard of lying in the new Duggar docuseries, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. Now, she’s continuing to make comments on social media, and fans feel that she’s taking it too far.
On Father’s Day, James Duggar shared a new post about his dad. In a comment, a Duggar critic said, “Any woman who marries you needs to know that you, too, will hide what your sons do to your daughters.” The Instagram user has gathered that James appears to be showing support for his father, despite all of the backlash sent Jim Bob’s way.
In response to the Instagram comment, Hilary snapped back, “James is a winner. Super kind heart. He will be an awesome husband some day!”
On Reddit, Duggar fans and critics are calling out Hilary for going too far. Someone reminded her that she is already married and shouldn’t be saying these things to a young man who is 24 years younger than her. Another Reddit user said, “I think at this point Hillary wants James to be her husband the way she’s in these comments.”
Someone else added, ” I would be so uncomfortable if someone my parents’ age were commenting like that on my social media.”
