Too nasty for American Idol?

Ryan Seacrest has been called out for his own rude behavior this season. This comes amid the ongoing backlash involving Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Fans want someone else to replace them on the show. They’re looking forward to their temporary replacements — Ed Sheeran and Alanis Morrisette.

In the meantime, Ryan was accused of “nasty” behavior. He wasn’t soft on the contestants who didn’t make it to the Top 12. During a recent episode, Ryan read something off his card that didn’t go over well with fans. They think he was intentionally mean.

“You sang ‘Lose You To Love Me,'” Ryan Seacrest told one of the contestants as he looked at his cue card. “We might lose you tonight.”

Many of the American Idol fans on Reddit called his comment “harsh.” They think Ryan is over his hosting gig even though he moved back to Los Angeles to take it on full-time. Some noted that he seems over the show and has been “off” his game. Another called out Ryan’s “brutal” read when he told Michael that he wasn’t going to make it through the competition.

On Thursday, May 4, Ryan Seacrest shared several dishes on Instagram. He admitted that he was hungry just thinking about Cinco De Mayo. That’s when he looked back at some of the dishes he tried at a Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles. The upscale luxury restaurant is called Javier’s.

“My stomach is growling from excitement that it’s #CincoDeMayo tomorrow,” Ryan Seacrest wrote in the caption. “And it definitely doesn’t help looking back at this meal.”

The clip featured several dishes, including ceviche, enchiladas, and tacos. Fans think Ryan has a savory palette. They took to the comment section to beg him to start his own food series. He has become a bit of a foodie since he likes to share his own home-cooked meals.
