They have taken to social media to share their thoughts on Season 21 of American Idol and they’re not pleased. Temporarily, fans will see new faces alongside Luke Bryan.

On Sunday, May 7, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will perform for King Charles III’s coronation at Windsor Castle in England. Luke has already teased the news with Entertainment Tonight. He said that both acts are “big-time” names.

“It’s big time. It’s big time,” Luke told ET. “The people that we have filling in, contestants have used their songs many, many times. A lot more than mine!”

The country singer is excited to have them on the show. Luke admits these people are more famous than him, Katy and Lionel combined. He wouldn’t elaborate on further details about their fill-ins. Fans are hoping for a shakeup next season with a whole new panel. They already want American Idol alum Adam Lambert to replace Katy.

The “Teenage Dream” singer is losing sleep

Amid the recent backlash, Katy Perry admitted that she’s been losing sleep. Hopefully, she’ll get her sleep before she travels across the pond. She took to Instagram to share a silly video of herself in black-and-white. Katy talks about getting “the D” from her fiance Orlando Bloom.

The couple already put an end to the split rumors by posing for photos together this past weekend. Katy Perry also admitted that she was taking a “vitamin D” supplement because she’s been losing sleep. She made a funny face as she talked about her sleep-deprived lifestyle.

“So, you wanna be a star?!” Katy Perry exclaimed. “Well, then you better take your vitamins. Cause I haven’t slept in days. I have literally already been to the zoo this morning. I’ve been up since six.”

She took her daughter Daisy Dove to the zoo before sunrise to see the animals. Katy continued to drink her water as she assured herself that she was still a “pop star.” The video concluded with the singer closing her eyes and walking out of the building into the blinding sun. It’s no surprise that the mom of one is losing sleep to keep her daughter happy.
