Season 4 of The Boys has been gradually in motion for some time now. Fans have been anxiously awaiting any news about the season ever since the hard-hitting ending to Season 3 in 2022. Thankfully, there has been a steady stream of news to keep the hype high and viewers in the know about what’s coming. Everything from the announcement of Jeffrey Dean Morgan joining the cast to even a script page of the Season 4 finale. This latest news might be the most major of all, though, because it means the season may be coming sooner than fans previously thought.
New Set Photos
Yes, The Boys Season 4 is officially done filming. The announcement came from the official Twitter page for the show just recently. To commemorate the announcement, the page also put out a string of new set photos that have never been seen before.
The set photos show essentially every main cast member behind the scenes of filming. Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Tomer Capone, and the new guy, Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Fans recently got a tease from Homelander actor Antony Starr. He put a bloody picture of himself on his Instagram. These new set photos come with an extra dosage of blood. Because it’s The Boys, so of course it does. There are bloody photos of both Jessie T. Usher (A-Train) and Jack Quaid (Hughie) in this new release. Deep diggers can take from that what they will about what’s to come.
The Boys Season 4
So Season 4 is done filming but what does that say about a potential premiere date for new episodes? It could mean fans get them as soon as this year. Season 3 was done filming about 8 months prior to the premiere date in June 2022. If Season 4 follows a similar schedule, then Season 4 may premiere this December. Possibly a The Boys holiday special?
That’s far from a guarantee, of course. All of the seasons thus far have had premiere dates in the summer. So, it’s possible that they could delay the premiere date until mid-2024 just for that reason. However, it’s also possible that they’re trying to break the habit of two-year gaps between seasons. The latest season made The Boys the most popular superhero show in streaming television. No doubt Amazon wants new episodes as soon as possible.
If The Boys Season 4 does come in late 2023, that means fans get new The Boys and Invincible at the same time. That would be a great time to be a Prime Video subscriber.
