Most 1000-Lb. Best Friends fans have come to adore Vannessa Cross. No matter what life throws at her, she always manages to keep pressing forward with a smile on her face.
The show’s followers know that Vannessa Cross has completely changed her life — and the results are immediately obvious. It might be a while before she can receive skin removal surgery, but that’s not slowing her down.
After sharing a glimpse of a day out with her son, fans think that Vannessa might have changed up her look a little bit. Keep reading to see why!
Vannessa Cross enjoys a hot day out at an amusement park
1000-Lb. Best Friends may be done for the season, but Vannessa Cross isn’t going to slow down anytime soon. She shared on social media that she and her son Werner were spending some quality time together over spring break.
“Spent my day at @sixflags with my baby Werner for spring break! So much fun! I love my life! ❤️✨” the TLC star captioned her Instagram video. It’s clear that she’s having a great time exploring the theme park with her son. That’s something she never would have dreamed of doing before receiving bariatric surgery.
Plenty of Vannessa’s followers praised her for staying active and being able to enjoy the park to the fullest. However, a few others narrowed down on her appearance and wondered if she had cut her hair.
Onscreen, Vannessa Cross is pretty well-known for her long platinum-blonde hair. While being active, she frequently keeps it up in a ponytail. But the way she moves in the video led some fans to believe that she might have opted for a cut recently.
“Did you cut your hair?” one fan directly asked in the comments. Some weren’t quite certain, but Vannessa chimed in and put the debate to bed once and for all.
“Nope just pulled back! It’s HOT! 😂” the 1000-Lb. Best Friends star replied.

Will 1000-Lb. Best Friends be back for another season?
Viewers were pretty shocked to see that 1000-Lb. Best Friends Season 2 ended so abruptly. Fans were happy to see Meghan’s wedding but thought there were too many loose ends that needed answers. For example, fans wanted a resolution for the storyline involving Meghan’s living situation.
For now, it seems like Meghan and her now-husband Jon do still live in Tina Arnold’s basement. If that situation changes, it would be an excellent storyline for Season 3 to explore.
Sadly, TLC likely won’t share any information about 1000-Lb. Best Friends Season 3 for quite some time. The network notoriously doesn’t reveal renewals or cancelations until the very last moment.
The good news is that fans were excited to see Vannessa’s dramatic progress. If the show does come back for Season 3, there will be plenty of content to dive into.
