‘Gotham Knights’ Release Date: Everything You Need To Know
With the Arrowverse coming to an end, only the last season of The Flash and the ongoing Superman & Lois remain on The CW. However, there will be another series that joins the lineup outside that world with Gotham Knights.
This series is a bit different as it exists in a world where Batman has died. Here is its release date and all the info you need to know.
Gotham Knights release date
While Gotham Knights is a DC Comics show on The CW, it does not exist in the same world as the Arrowverse shows. Instead, this is a show that focuses on the death of Batman and the fallout in Gotham City after his death.
If that sounds interesting to you, the show premieres on The CW on Tuesday nights, March 14, at 9/8c. This means that it will immediately follow the next episode of Superman & Lois. It will then be rerun on Wednesday night at the same time, following The Flash.
What is Gotham Knights about?
Gotham Knights starts off with the death of Batman/Bruce Wayne. Like in other worlds, Bruce had his adopted son, but in this case, it wasn’t any of the Robins from other DC Comics stories. Instead, it is a young man named Turner Hayes.
The police bring in Turner for questioning, believing he might have killed his adopted father for the money. However, he isn’t the only suspect. The Gotham City PD believes that any number of Batman’s former villains’ children could have committed the crime.
This includes Duela, the daughter of Joker, Stephanie Brown (Spoiler), the daughter of Cluemaster, as well as Harper Row (Bluebird). Additionally, there is the new Robin, Carrie Kelley (from Dark Knight Returns).
Turner has to team up with this rogue’s gallery of young villains to clear their names and find out who really killed Bruce Wayne. Meanwhile, Harvey Dent is investigating the case as the district attorney. While he becomes Two-Face in the comics (and movies), that will not happen – at least in the first season of Gotham Knights.
Who stars in Gotham Knights?
The main Gotham Knights cast is mostly unknown young actors. Oscar Morgan plays Turner Hayes, Navia Robinson is Carrie Kelley, Fallon Smythe is Harper Row, and Anna Lore is Stephanie Brown. Olivia Rose Keegan, who played Claire Brady on Days of Our Lives, is Duela – Joker’s daughter.
However, easily the biggest name in the cast for The CW fans is Misha Collins as Harvey Dent. Supernatural fans know Misha as Castiel from that hit fantasy series. Another big name in the cast is Ethan Embry (Can’t Hardly Wait) as Cluemaster. Doug Bradley, who played Pinhead in the original Hellraiser, is Joe Chill – the man who killed Bruce Wayne’s parents in the comics.
