Deborah Roberts Bids Adieu To Her Favorite Restaurant
Over the weekend, Deborah Roberts had a great time in Paris with her daughter, Leila Roker. However, the 62-year-old had to bid adieu to something she and her husband Al Roker cherish. She shared some pictures of their favorite restaurant in Paris, informing her fans that it is closing up permanently the next day. The journalist captioned the Instagram post, “For years, Le Castiglione has been my go-to place the minute I hit the streets of Paris. Al and I discovered it on our honeymoon. Now sadly, this Paris institution is closing its doors tomorrow after more than 75 years.”

Deborah further explained how she will miss the champagne, burgers, and cappuccinos she had over the years at the restaurant with scurrying waiters and the scene.
“But more than anything, I’ll miss owners Claudia and her husband, Fabrice. Paris won’t be the same without Le Casti. I’m so sad to lose this touchstone which has brought so many of us feelings of sophistication, joy, and exuberance. Looking forward to your next venture dear folks, “she concluded.
Deborah Roberts & Al Roker Visit Leila In Paris
In the comments section, a fan asked if the restaurant owners Claudia and Fabrice will open another restaurant or Café in Paris. In response, Deborah revealed that they will but didn’t explain why the existing one is being shut down. The popular restaurant has catered to several celebrities including Selena Gomez. It also has an adorable four-legged mascot named Garry.

Given that Leila Roker lives in Paris, her parents frequently visit her. So, whenever they get a chance, they surely visit the nostalgic restaurant. In 2021, due to the COVID restrictions, Leila couldn’t celebrate Christmas with the family. However, the family visited her in Paris for a quick get-together following which Al Roker shared a picture of himself enjoying a coffee at Le Castiglione.
Deborah Roberts Reveals Al’s True Extent Of Illness
While the couple is now back to work, the family had a tough time last year after Al Roker’s hospitalization due to blood clots in his legs and lungs. Recently, Deborah Roberts revealed the true extent of her husband’s illness. She explained that the weathercaster underwent gallbladder removal, blood transfusion, colon resection, and a fix to a tear in his duodenum.
