Amy & Michael Halterman Welcome New Addition To Their Family
Amy and Michael Halterman are spending time together as a family right now. The holidays are here and they have small sons at home. Amy has shared some of the family’s special Christmas festivities with her fans on social media.
However, it seems like there is room for one more in the Halterman household. On social media this week, Amy revealed that they welcomed someone very special into their home.

Like many other parents across the country, Amy and Michael Halterman decided to do Elf on the Shelf with their sons. Their elf is called “Dobby” after the Harry Potter character. Gage just turned two years old and Glenn is about five months old. They’re still a little young to really appreciate the elf, but they can still experience the Christmas magic.
This week, Amy revealed that Dobby brought her boys a very special gift in time for the holidays.
“Final day with dobby!! but dobby got the boy a 2 1/2 year old Chihuahua, Pomeranian Named Daisy Mae!! I’m sure the boy will love her as we loved little but!!!” the TLC star captioned her Instagram post.
Little Bit was a beloved part of the family for decades. Sadly, she passed away this year at the old age of 22. The Haltermans thought that their home felt pretty empty without a dog in it.
“I’m happy for Daisy Mae. She will be so loved.. we will always miss lil bit,” one fan wrote in the comments.
“What a blessing!!! The boys will be so excited. Thank you for adopting and giving that adorable girl a chance at a great life. Merry Christmas,” another fan added.

1000-Lb. Sisters returns to TLC next month
Viewers would love to see Daisy Mae onscreen, but that won’t happen anytime soon. 1000-Lb. Sisters Season 4 is already done filming and will air on TLC in January. But the good news is that Season 5 is reportedly already filming. Daisy will make it to the show soon — just a year or so from now.
Viewers that want to catch Amy and Michael Halterman on the small screen can tune into TLC on January 17 at 9 PM eastern time. The family has been up to quite a lot in the past year and they can’t wait to share it all with their fans.
