All year long, 1000-Lb. Sisters fans have been patiently waiting for news regarding Season 4. Now, TLC is finally giving a little more insight into the season.

The network confirmed that new episodes will appear starting on January 17, 2023 at 9 PM eastern time. But now, there’s more good news to share. TLC even released the first trailer! Keep reading and see what fans can expect from Tammy and Amy when the new year finally arrives.

1000-Lb. Sisters Season 4 will continue with Tammy’s journey

Since 1000-Lb. Sisters began, fans have watched Tammy Slaton and her siblings struggle with their weight. Her siblings Chris and Amy both managed to qualify for bariatric surgery over the course of the series, leading Tammy to feel left behind. Will this finally be the year Tammy catches up and qualifies for bariatric surgery too?

When fans last left Tammy in Season 3, she just checked herself into rehab. Dr. Smith even visited her at home to urge her to take her health more seriously. Tammy agreed and decided to make a major change. But just after she checked into rehab, she started experiencing serious health issues.

Thankfully, Tammy survived and went back to rehab. Season 4 will follow her journey as she works on her struggle with food addiction. She reportedly did receive bariatric surgery over the summer, so the new season will likely cover that as well.

The new trailer is pretty short, but it gives fans a glimpse of Tammy’s condition as the season opens. In the clip, Dr. Smith reiterates that Tammy is prone to serious health complications because of her lifestyle choices. The camera cuts to Tammy’s older brother Chris, who received his own bariatric surgery in a prior season. Chris says that if Tammy doesn’t receive bariatric surgery, she’s probably going to die.

Fans that keep up with the news know that Tammy Slaton doesn’t die. But what exactly lies ahead in Season 4? Tune in on January 17 and find out more.

Tammy Slaton finds love and thrives as of late 2022

Recently, Tammy married a man called Caleb Willingham. They reportedly met in rehab and bonded over their shared struggles with food addiction. It’s not immediately clear if the wedding will make it into Season 4. The wedding just happened not long ago and the season may have already wrapped up filming at that point.

But rumor has it that TLC has already greenlit 1000-Lb. Sisters Season 5, so it’s possible the wedding will be featured then. For now, fans will have to tune in and see all the action and drama unfold when the series comes back in January.

  1. Yesterday it was reported Tammy couldn’t breathe & body was shutting down now they are talking about the premiere come on

  2. What I want to know is why do people tune in and watch this crap? All it does is show people that all they need to do is neglect their health and they’ll be given 15 minutes of fame.
When Tammy’s body stops again, I hope they can’t get her started back up. People like her are why healthcare cost keep skyrocketing
