The Flash changes release date
The Flash has changed its release date. While Warner Bros. initially set it to hit theaters on June 23, 2023, the new date is one week earlier. The movie will now hit theaters on June 16, 2023. Warner Bros. did not reveal the reason for the change in date. At this time, there is no other movie set to hit theaters on June 23.
However, looking at the next week gives one very strong clue. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny hits theaters on June 30. Most people expect that movie to destroy everything else at the box office. By moving The Flash one week earlier, it has one extra week with little competition before Indiana Jones roars into theaters.
The Flash is betting on being able to topple Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which hits theaters on June 9. With that movie a week old by the time The Flash comes out, Warner Bros. has to hope that people who want to see the giant robot movie will see it on opening weekend. However, for The Flash, Warner Bros. is just hoping for the best thanks to the controversy with its lead star Ezra Miller.

Most fans seemed to like Ezra Miller as Flash when he appeared in Justice League, but since that movie, he has been a lightning rod of controversy. However, Warner Bros. is rebooting the DC Universe. The Flash was supposed to be that reboot. It is based on the comic book storyline where Barry Allen runs back in time to save his mother. He accidentally creates a terrible future and has to work with Batman to fix things. However, this isn’t Bruce Wayne, but Thomas Wayne. In this world. Bruce died as a child.
Michael Keaton is appearing in the movie as Batman for the first time since the 90s Batman Returns. However, after this, there is no telling where DC goes. James Gunn (The Suicide Squad, Guardians of the Galaxy) is one of the new people in charge of creativity at Warner Bros. for DC and he is working on the future of the brand.
