Love can be tricky, especially so when one has to cope with the prison system. This unique premise has been experimented with in WeTV’s reality series Love During Lockup. Love After Lockup Spinoff Selection Starts With A Questionnaire
Love During Lockup Season 1 first premiered on January 7, 2022. The second season premiered on WeTv on October 21, 2022, and there is a thorough selection process for the cast members. It starts out with the potential candidates filling out a form that includes 18 personal questions. The series follows long distance relationship where one of the partners is locked in prison while another gives their best to cope with the arrangement.

This WeTV show unfolds unique challenges that individuals face once they start dating prison inmates. With one partner confined in jail, it can be particularly difficult for another to hold on to the relationship. The spouse outside has to spend money to visit the love of their life in prison. And, the justifications they have to give to society don’t make it easy.
Is Love During Lockup Fake?
Given how unique the concept is, some fans even wonder if the cast comprises actors or if the show is fake. While Love After Lockup’s concept is still believable, Love During Lockup’s authenticity seems a bit questionable. However, the selection process makes it seem legit. As mentioned earlier, the process starts with a form that includes 18 personal questions. There is also a photo upload section that requires the prospect cast members to upload their own and their partner’s pictures.

The questions asked in the form include age, name, address, during of the relationship, and more. As per Meaww, this allows the casting team to decide which couple is suited to be a part of the show. The candidates outside are also asked for their inmate partner’s Department Of Correction number. However, not much is known about the steps after this for the selection process. As per sources, the couples undergo certain interview rounds to confirm if they are fit to be a participant in the reality series.
